What's new at Wyatt's

We celebrated the grand opening of Windy Hills Winery in Ridgefield, Wa.
Our long time friend 'Bob', is the head winemaker!

We remembered James Sorensen and his service to our country.

Mom went looking for a fun little part time job and accidentally landed a 6-day a week gig.
Oopsy Daisy!
She is working the contractor's desk at a wholesale nursery.
So much for retirement! But, she is okay with it for now.
Mom wants to buy a lot of furniture and plane tickets.
She will like having some MAD MONEY!

Dad is going to hold down the fort and take care of us dogs!
He is doing a super job, making fancy dinners and tending our landscape.

We REALLY value our family time now and are so happy when Dad AND Mom take us on our walks. We must stand on the concrete sofa at least once a week!

Our landscape is in full bloom these days. The veg garden is alive and well.
The squirrels and rabbits need to be kept in line.

Seems like we all have a job to do, so we will only be posting once a week or so.......

Stories we Love

Louis the Dog is hosting 'Stories we Love' today!
He is doing such a fine job as Blogville's director of Arts and Entertainment!
I'm helping Tegan pick out a book to share.
"Hey, Tegan"
"This one is perfect for you, it has lots of pictures....you like bears, right?"

Oh my, what a brave little cub he was!
He survived a terrible forest fire and went on to become our nation's symbol for fire prevention!

I'm going to be a Forest Ranger or maybe a Bear!!

Happy Reading and Remember-
Only you can Prevent Forest Fires!

A "suntacular" weekend!

We went to Home Depot to buy some poo for the plants.
Poo makes the plants smile!

We celebrated the return of the hose to the garden!

...and filled the pool!

We took all of our toys outside and hid them in the bushes......no peeking, this is a secret hiding spot!

We rolled in the cut grass!

We went for a walk with our smiley pal, Samson.

All in all, it was a pretty GREAT weekend!

    The Terrier Tug Boat

Welcome to the Terrier Tug Boat!

Terriers and their owners cruised the Willamette River!

Captain John was teaching me important navigation techniques.
It was all going so swimmingly, until I turned off the depth finder thingy with my butt....Ooops!

Okay, so I flunked my way out of the helm........What's for lunch?

Here are a few of my onboard Airedale pals, Oley, Girti and Girti's mom.

Border Terrier 'Sadie' and her mom.

Daisy and Tugger got to ride up front with their people!

    I had to bring Tegan......

    .....and my mom.
(Dad was there too, in the helm of the tug, teaching Tegan how to steer the boat!)

    The long road to Spring

Here in the Northwest, we are setting records for rainfall.
Soggy Seattle has broken the record with 44.7 inches of rain between October and April.
Portland is inching closer to smashing it's own record. We have 45.5 inches in the same time frame.
Poor Astoria, Or., 84.52 inches and 167 days of rain since Oct 1st!
Thanks for the laugh, Gert 😊

    Surprisingly, Spring comes anyway.

Everywhere we look, we see pink and purple and yellow.

....And the green, tasty grass of spring!
But, we want to know, "Why have we been fenced out of the garden?"
    "Don't you love us anymore?"
