Green Beans and Good Friends

Let's go pick some dinner.

Tonight's Harvest
Green Beans, Basil and Cherry Tomatoes.

Stanzie asks: "Where is the Bacon?"

Here is how Mom cooks green beans for Dad:

Wash beans, snip the stems and toss the beans into the veggie steamer for 15 minutes.
While they are steaming, cook 3 pieces of turkey bacon with a clove of chopped fresh garlic.
Chop the cooked turkey bacon into 1/2" pieces.
Toss the steamed green beans with the turkey bacon/garlic.
Finish with some sea salt, pepper and fresh chives and basil.

For us dogs, just the steamed green beans mixed with a little turkey bacon!
NOM NOM!
These beans are extra special, because the seeds were from our friends over the big pond,

Tomorrow, Mom is making penne pasta with fresh basil pesto and cherry tomatoes.

(we really just want bacon......)

Cracked Pots!

For the last 4 years, Mom and Dad have been sneaking away from work, on a Tuesday in July.
Don't tell any of their clients, but they head out to the Cracked Pots art show at McMenamins Edgefield.
They spend the day wandering the beautiful gardens and
admiring art, made from items that were headed for the dump.
(They also drink McMenamin's beer and buy things.)

An old tricycle pulling a planter box on an old skateboard.

They really liked this artist's work.
Steampunk at it's best.

Here is what they brought home....
Dragonflies made from silverware and a crescent wrench!
We like Dragonflies, they symbolize:
 Change and Transformation
Adaptability
Joy

Metal work from heavy equipment.
The Yellow metal is from a Caterpillar, the Red is from a Massey Ferguson and the Green is from a John Deere.
(It's my Dad's thing)

My folks ARE cracked pots!

O.A.T.S. club silent auction.

Our local Airedale club had a banquet after their specialty dog show last weekend.
The club members look forward to the silent auction, as there are many great "Airedale" inspired things to bid on.

A most lovely felted purse....Bid, Bid, Bid.

Let the bidding continue!

Here is what Mom and Dad came home with.
The pottery items were made by Montana artist and Airedale owner, Judy Howell.

The leash and collar are for ME.
I feel fancy in Yellow!

Planet Dog and Chewy

We all know that Chewy.com has really good foodables and treats that they can send right to your door.
But, did you know that they also can send you toys?

The last 2 months I have been asking for toys, because I figure it's not nice to eat yummy treats in front of my sister Stanzie, when she is trying to drop a couple of pounds.
Stanzie likes toys too. Especially burying them under the shrubs.
This month, I received a 'Planet Dog' football!
I LOVE IT!

I like to roll it down the stairs.
It makes a really good "thumpy-thump BANG"!

I also like to hide it under the covers on the master bed.

Wyatt

Thanks Chewy.com and Planet Dog!

Less stinky with Purggo

Okay, we admit it...we stink!
We work hard and we play hard outside. In the dust, weeds, rain and mud.
Then, we climb into the truck with wet towels, wet fur, dirty dog toys and gardening supplies.

I guess the folks at Purggo thought we stink too.
They asked if they could send us a prototype of a product that they developed, made with Bamboo Charcoal.

Bamboo Charcoal is all natural and non-toxic. Because it is scent, fragrance and allergen-free, it is asthma and allergy friendly.
It Adsorbs (spelled correctly) for a full year, with it's porous qualities.
We will do a follow up post, in a couple of weeks and let you know if our truck is smelling better!

I don't need this, I smell NICE!

Purggo also sent these small samples, for Mom's stinky work boots.
These WE NEED!!
Thanks Purggo!!

Sleepover at Wyatt and Stanzie's

YAY!! My brother 'Lupe' is here!!

My brother Lupe.

And he brought his Wheaten brother, Clancy.

First, we have to get groomed, before we can play.
Ladies first!
Stanzie just wants to sniff Lupe and Clancy's car.
(Stanzie says she does not have to be on a diet now, because she just dropped 5 pounds of fur!)

My turn.

Treat Time!

Taking my brother for a swim.

Can you tell us apart?

Hey Lupe! Remember that time when we were 7 weeks old and you did that funny thing?
Hee hee...

Can you tell us apart now?

Bookends

How to tell us apart...I have a bigger butt!

I like having slumber parties!
